Our people are what make LVMWD successful, and this month we’re proud to shine the spotlight on Thieu Chau for his outstanding work and dedication to the District. 

Since joining in October 2020, Thieu has made a tremendous impact within the Finance Division. Starting as a Senior Accounting Technician, he quickly advanced to Accountant and now serves as a Financial Analyst II. His career growth reflects not only his strong technical expertise, but also his commitment to continuous learning and professional excellence. 

Thieu is known throughout the organization for embodying LVMWD’s core values: Collaboration, Commitment, Integrity, Respect, and Responsibility. He has earned a reputation as the office “Excel guru,” with a particular mastery of pivot tables and financial analysis tools that help keep critical processes running smoothly. 

In his role, Thieu oversees fixed assets and supports important year-end financial functions with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. His work plays a vital role in ensuring compliance, supporting successful audits, and maintaining the District’s strong financial integrity. 

Beyond his technical skills, Thieu is recognized for his team-first attitude and reliability. Whether stepping in to help colleagues, taking on additional responsibilities, or navigating complex projects during busy periods, he consistently approaches challenges with professionalism and a solution-oriented mindset.
