LVMWD staff will teach important water lessons through hands-on activities, such as planting succulents.

The Las Virgenes Municipal Water District (LVMWD) offers a robust K-12 education program focused on teaching students the importance of water as a limited natural resource, water conservation, supply reliability, and environmental stewardship. The program primarily targets 4th and 5th grade students through a long-standing partnership with the Las Virgenes Unified School District (LVUSD), funding a specialized water-related science curriculum. This curriculum includes classroom lessons, auditorium and in-class presentations, outdoor education, succulent planting activities, and facility tours. LVMWD also supports live educational shows and provides transportation for student tours. The program's unique approach empowers students to become ambassadors for water conservation, sharing their knowledge with families and the broader community. The partnership has educated thousands of students, making a significant positive impact on the region and fostering a culture of sustainability from an early age. 1234
