Joe McDermott is a registered professional engineer in the State of California with over 30 years of experience in the civil engineering profession.  He holds both a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a Masters Degree in Public Administration. 

Starting in early 2018, Joe began working with Las Virgenes Municipal Water District, where he is now the Assistant General Manager. He provides guidance and oversight for engineering, facilities maintenance,  and water and wastewater operations, including development and implementation of the District's Climate Action and Adaptation Plan, Water Supply Diversification Study, and related initiatives.
