This workshop will cover practical strategies for firescaping, defensible space and property protection, along with guidance on preparing your family and home for evacuation.
Topics will include:

· Reducing vulnerabilities around structures
· Understanding how fire moves through the landscape
· Preparing your property before a fire threatens
· Evacuation preparedness and knowing when it’s time to leave
About the Instructor
Douglas Kent is the author of the best-selling Firescaping: Protecting Your Home with a Fire-Resistant Landscape and has been helping create fire-protected properties since 1994. He teaches at colleges throughout California and has extensive experience in landscape design, horticulture and wildfire preparedness.
