LVMWD January News and Updates

Updated water rates for Las Virgenes Municipal Water District went into effect on January 1, 2026.

Adopted by the District’s Board of Directors following a comprehensive public rate study, these adjusted rates ensure we can continue providing safe, reliable water service while maintaining and improving the infrastructure our community depends on.

Why were rates adjusted?

The updated rates will fund critical investments in our local water system, including:

  • Upgrading and maintaining essential infrastructure
  • Improving long-term system reliability
  • Reducing reliance on imported water supplies
  • Supporting environmental stewardship
  • Advancing the Pure Water Project, which is expected to begin operations in 2028 and will eventually supply up to 30% of our community’s drinking water

For customers who use water efficiently, the average increase is about $13 more per month each year through 2030.
